Lisa Robinson

Forensic Interviewing, Childhood Trauma, and Drug Endangered Children
Lisa Robinson is a consultant with O2QL and QRT National and is a Subject Matter Expert in Forensic Interviewing, Childhood Trauma, and Drug Endangered Children.

“Every action of your life touches on some chord that will vibrate in eternity.” ~Edwin Hubbell Chapin.

For over 18 years, Lisa Robinson has walked alongside children and their families that have experienced victimization and trauma. Prior to joining O2SL and QRT National, Lisa was employed by the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office (PCDAO). She started as an Advocate in 2005 specializing in domestic violence and sexual assault. In 2016, she was promoted to Forensic Interviewer (FI) at the Plymouth County Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC). As an FI, she conducted culturally and developmentally appropriate, neutral forensic interviews with children ages 3 - 17 as well as vulnerable adults who were suspected victims of physical/sexual abuse, commercial sexual exploitation, and/or witnesses to violence. She also conducted courtesy interviews for the Criminal Investigation Division of the Army and cases involving other federal agencies. In 2020, Lisa was promoted to Director of the Children’s Advocacy Center where she oversaw Mental Health, Medical, and Forensic components of the program. She assembled multi-disciplinary teams to facilitate case consultation and conducted countywide and statewide trainings. She worked in partnership with, and as a liaison to, local, state and federal agencies, acquired funding, and expanded programming. In addition to her work with the PCDAO, Lisa was a certified instructor in Victimization, Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault with the Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC).

Interwoven in many of the criminal cases she worked on were the common threads of substance misuse and mental health issues. In many situations, children were being exposed to trauma, but not being recognized. She began awareness and prevention efforts as a volunteer for PCO Hope, an organization that provides a safe gateway to substance use information, resources, and support. In 2018, Lisa became a member of the steering committee for the PCDAO Drug Endangered Children’s Initiative. She has continued efforts to bring awareness to substance use disorder and promote ongoing collaborations for better outcomes for children as a Certified Instructor for the National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children. She also a Certified Statewide Trainer for SAMSHA’s How Being Trauma-Informed Improves Criminal Justice System Responses.

Lisa holds an associate degree from Katharine Gibbs School, a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Stonehill College, and Reserve Officer Training from the MPTC. She also received Advanced Forensic Interview training in several modalities including Child Sex Trafficking, Presenting Evidence in Child Forensic Interview, and Interviewing Victims with Disabilities.

Along with her education and professional experience, she also brings her personal experience as a survivor of child sexual abuse and as a grandmother raising her grandchild at a time when her daughter struggled with substance use disorder. She uses her passion to reach out to others in their journeys as a Family Outreach Specialist for Plymouth County Outreach, by volunteering at community events, and speaking to local groups and organizations.
