We were with our FHI360 partners this past week in Arkansas, having the honor and pleasure to collaborate and help build the first Situation Table in Arkansas with our friends from Southeastern Arkansas in the Monticello-Crossett region.
It was invaluable for us as we learned about the origins of Juneteenth dating back to 1865, continuing to be hosted in neighboring Wilmar, AR. Please check out the below AR PBS special on Wilmar featuring our new friend and partner, Mayor Toni Perry. Mayor Perry, thank you!
Thank you to Phoenix Youth and Family services, University of Arkansas Monticello, Career Pathways, United Family Services, SEA Delta Solutions, and Southeast Arkansas Economic Development District. We look forward to being back on the ground with you in July!
Shout outs to Evelyn, Orlando, Roshunda, Carla, Anita, Ronald, Ambra, Douglas, Yolanda, Toni, and Christie,
Thank you for your leadership and teaching us about the important history of Juneteenth!
