SUD Conference (Kentucky)

O2SL & QRT National will be presenting at the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Conference hosted by the Laurel County Agency for Substance Abuse Policy (A.S.A.P) in cooperation with the Kentucky Health department and the University of Kentucky's Behavioral Health Wellness Environments for Living and Learning (BH WELL). Laurel County A.S.A.P. has the goal of "reducing the prevalence of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs among youth and adults in Kentucky and to coordinate efforts among state and local agencies in the area of substance abuse prevention." BH WELL is a "multi-disciplinary team working to promote behavioral health and wellness among individuals facing behavioral health challenges."

Regional Conference for Substance Use Disorder 2023 (London, Kentucky)

O2SL & QRT National will be presenting on the topics of Crisis Management and QRT at the Regional Conference for Substance Use Disorder 2023, which was produced by the Southern Kentucky Area Health Education Center (AHEC). The Southern Kentucky AHEC strives to improve health in 15-county region by linking community and academic resources. This is done through support for students and practitioners and youth education.

“Opioid Settlement” Spending Panel (Washington, D.C.)

O2SL & QRT National will be part of a hand-selected panel of expert representatives from various professions from across the country participating in meetings in Washington, D.C., regarding "Opioid Settlement" spending across the nation from May 23-24, 2023.

Rural Justice Collaborative (West Virginia)

O2SL & QRT National will be presenting on the QRT Response model and participate in a panel with representatives from approximately 18 states to discuss "Deflection" efforts in the state of West Virginia and across the United States from June 5 - 7, 2023.

International Overdose Awareness Day

"Recognizing those people who go unseen." Honor the people whose lives have been altered by overdose. They are the family and friends grieving the loss of a loved one; workers in healthcare and support services extending strength and compassion; or spontaneous first responders who selflessly assume the role of a lifesaver. This year, we would like to say to these people: "We See You."

Walk the Road to Recovery Event

O2SL and QRT National will be one of the presenters at the Walk the Road to Recovery event being held by Transitions on August 31, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Purple People Bridge to mark both International Overdose Awareness Day and National Recovery Month. Transitions is inviting the community and its leaders to come together to demonstrate support for those impacted by Substance Use Disorders and to deliver a clear message that treatment works, and recovery is possible. This event is open to the public. This community event will offer helpful information about recovery, treatment services, inspirational art, and cultural activities as well as create opportunities for the community to engage with public officials.

Northern Kentucky Justice Collaborative Training Event (Covington, KY)

O2SL and QRT National will be presenting on Quick Response Teams (QRTs) and participating in a panel discussion during the Northern Kentucky Justice Collaborative's "A Response to a Community Problem" training event that will be held on September 28, 2023, in Covington, KY. This training event is designed to provide an overview of the social and economic impacts of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) on the justice system as well as provide information on the Angel initiative and QRT deflection and pre-arrest diversion models in Kentucky and around the United States.

2023 PTACC National Deflection and Pre-Arrest Diversion Summit (Denver, CO)

O2SL & QRT National will be presenting "Ohio Deflection Association: A Statewide Initiative - Why We Started and Where We are Going" at the Police, Treatment, and Community Collaborative (PTACC) 4th Annual Training Summit to be held on October 3-6, 2023, in Denver, Colorado. This summit will focus on development and support of deflection and pre-arrest diversion (PAD) initiatives.

George DFCS Deflection Briefing (Atlanta, Georgia)

O2SL and QRT National has been invited to present on the subject of Deflection during Georgia's Department of Human Services, Division of Family & Children Services (DCFS), monthly meeting to be held in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 18, 2023.

Benton-Corvallis Situation Table Training (Corvallis, OR)

O2SL and QRT National will be presenting Situation Table training to Benton County with the support of Corvallis Police Department and Benton County Health Department in partnership with InterCommunity Health Network CCO (IHN-CCO). This training will prepare a community, its key stakeholders, and partners with the skills and lessons necessary to implement a local Situation Table that addresses Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) and provides collaborative solutions for responding to individuals or situations identified as being at Acutely Elevated Risk.

FHI 360 Situation Table Briefing (Washington, D.C.)

O2SL and QRT National will be providing a Situation Table introduction to FHI 360 and multiple field sites in Washington, D. C., on October 19, 2023. The Situation Table brings together multiple human service providers to address situations where individuals and/or families have reached the threshold of Acutely Elevated Risk but who may otherwise fall through the cracks in the system.
