Nate Horwitz-Willis,
DrPH, MPH, MPA
Dr. Horwitz-Willis (often referred to as Dr. Nate) is a Doctor of Public Health and received his training from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Fay W. Boozman (pronounced Bose-man) College of Public Health. He has professionally practiced in the field of Public Health for over a decade. He is an Assistant Professor of Public Health and Coordinator of Public Health Practice at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) University in Boston, MA. He also concurrently serves as a Public Health Officer for the Massachusetts Air National Guard at Joint Base Cape Cod. He is a recipient of the 2019 Massachusetts Public Health Association (MPHA) Dr. Alfred Frechette ‘Rising Star’ award for being a champion of health equity in Massachusetts. He is the founder of Horwitz-Willis Public Health Advising & Consulting, which has recently launched the Leliwop.org brand that focuses on creating and sustaining healthy spaces and places where we ‘learn, live, work, & play’ across the globe. Some of his recent public health endeavors include leading the creation of the nation’s first Academic Public Health Volunteer Corps, establishing the nation+s first local public health pilot study of advanced contact tracing technology, and leading military COVID public health efforts across Massachusetts.
James W. Cormier is the Drug Intelligence Officer for Massachusetts under the New England High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area’s (NEHIDTA) Overdose Response Strategy (ORS). Jim retired from the Town of Reading, MA Police Department in January 2016 after 33 years of service. He began his career with the Reading Police Department in 1983 as a Patrol Officer, he was promoted to Sergeant in 1998, and in 2005 he was promoted to the rank of Chief of Police. While Chief he instituted many changes within the Reading Police Department, including the Department being professionally accredited within the State of Massachusetts. Jim was an active member, for ten years, of the Northeast Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (NEMLEC) SWAT team.
Jim has a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Western New England College, his undergraduate studies were also in Criminal Justice Administration and holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Salem State College. Jim attended the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at The Harvard Kennedy School in 2014. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, the 233rd session which ran in the spring of 2008. He has attended many other professional development courses.
He is the past President of the Northeast Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (NEMLEC), and served on the Massachusetts Accreditation Commission as a representative for the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association.
Mr. Stephen Cameron is the President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of Homeland Security Solutions, Inc. (HSSI). A retired Marine Corps Officer, he is a senior executive with forty years of military law enforcement and security experience. He served four years in a senior law enforcement staff position at the Service Headquarters while serving as the Head of Physical Security/Anti-Terrorism Unit and six years as a Chief, Law Enforcement Officer. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. A founder of HSSI, Mr. Cameron has extensive experience with budgeting, operational planning, policy formulation, and implementation, as well as staff management and recruitment. Mr . Cameron currently leads HSSI’s strategic initiatives for corporate expansion and growth.
Mr. Mike Botieri is a member of the Board of Directors of Homeland Security Solutions, Inc. (HSSI). Mike has spent the last twenty-three years as a senior law enforcement official in Massachusetts. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and former President of the FBINAA New England Chapter. Mr. Botieri is also a graduate of the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (LEEDA). He is a member of the Law Enforcement Council for the Police Assisted Addiction & Recovery Initiative (PAARI) and has over 35 years of proven leadership, strategic planning, law enforcement, and security experience.
Mr. David Shoffner is the COO of Homeland Security Solutions, Inc. Dave is a former US Army Officer with over 30 years of CBRNE, emergency preparedness and leadership experience at tactical, operational and strategic levels of Defense, business services, solutions design, system integration, fielding, integrated logistics support, and manufacturing. Dave has excelled over the years at building integrated teams to solve complex Customer requirements with affordable and easily implemented solution sets within the DOD-5000 framework. As a PMI-certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), Dave brings an entrepreneurial perspective to business growth within the real-world of enhanced triple constraints.
